Lucy might be a mermaid.

Today was Lucy's first swimming lesson. We got her all dolled up in her swimsuit, which actually looked a bit like an old-fashioned bathing costume. We have been telling her all week that she would be swimming in a GIANT tub with Daddy today, but...you know...she doesn't speak English so good, so I'm pretty sure she actually went into this totally ignorant of what was actually about to happen.

Before we left, Lucy ran around in her bathing costume for awhile. She seemed to like the orange-stripey-ness of the whole thing.



While we waiting for the lessons to get started, Lucy took a tour of the pool area on Daddy's shoulders. This was in between licking the tiles surrounding the pool and chewing on a floatie toy she picked up that was last sanitized sometime before WWII.


Once they got started with the lesson, Lucy and Brian had a GREAT time and she giggled and laughed through the whole thing. Brian and I both love the water, and we have high hopes that Lucy will continue to enjoy her lessons, if for no other reason than it really seemed to tire her out (SCORE!).
